Iraq: Royal Dutch Shell has signed a one-year agreement with Halliburton to develop the Majnoon oilfield, Aswat al-Iraq has reported. According to the deal, Halliburton is to set up operations centres to dig 15 new wells, Shell said. Located in southern Iraq, the Majnoon field holds some 12.8 billion barrels of oil reserves.
